Peer Tutors

Type of Position: Part-Time

Job Description: Tutor Student Support Service participants: (tutoring will be conducted with set appointments for peer tutoring, walk-ins, individual, and group tutorial sessions); complete tutorial training programs; assist the Tutoring Coordinator/Academic Specialist to monitor Student Support Services students participation in the computer/tutorial lab, which will include all necessary paperwork, meeting with tutee's instructor's etc.; and assist Student Support Services staff to complete the Annual Performance Report.

Minimum Qualifications: Completed at least 30 hours of study; have a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 and a minimal grade of B in the course(s) they are interested in tutoring (or have placed out of courses they wish to tutor); and be recommended in writing by two members of Wilson Community College.
