Student Smiling

The Career Planning and Placement Center helps students identify their career interest through testing with interest inventories, exposure to career exploration literature and websites, and counselor feedback. Matching that interest with programs of study available at the College and job outlook data, including job availability, job requirements, and salary information, is an important step in the process.

Though job placement is not guaranteed, job announcement and referral services are available for both part-time jobs for students and full-time jobs for graduates. The Placement Center regularly updates the job listings of which they are made aware and posts them in the Career Center and on the College website. Graduation, completion, and employment rates, as a reflection on job readiness preparation, for full-time students are available in the Student Services Office. There is no charge for any services of the Career Planning and Placement Center. Computers with direct connection to NC Employment Security Commission/Job Link are available in the Career Center.
