The General Educational Development (GED) program is designed to prepare students to take the Official GED Testing Series. To earn a high school equivalency diploma, mastery of the following skills will be necessary:
Adults 18 and over (or sixteen- and seventeen-year olds with the proper release forms from the public school and parents) may enroll.
Study is individualized, and no specific time limit is set. Successful completion of the Pre-GED is strongly recommended before taking the official GED test. There is no required fee to take the practice GED tests.

You may study for the GED at Wilson Community College, at off-site locations (Wilson OIC, Hope Station, Wilson Housing Authority) or online with the online GED preparation studies.
