Minority males comprise less than 10% of Wilson Community College's enrollment despite the fact that they comprise approximately 24% of the Wilson area population. Reaching this group of students with a supportive program of tutoring and mentoring services is a goal of the NC Community College System. The system and the College recognize the need to enhance the educational experiences on our campus for these men in order to boost their enrollment, academic success, and graduation rates over time. The major goals of the program are to:
- Provide an open, supportive forum for minority males to discuss issues.
- Promote goal setting and positive choices in decision-making.
- Improve retention and graduation rates for minority males at the College.

- Involve MMM participants in College activities that build leadership skills, self-reliance, and team-building that promote work force preparedness.
