hi i'm trish holsten's secondary partnership director at Wilson Community College I act as your liaison for CCP classes and this is the second video in a series that focuses on the resources at the college we'll begin our resources by focusing on disability resources campus resources and technology resources in terms of disability researches we have the ability to provide accommodations for documented disabilities and pregnancy so the way in which you follow these procedures is the college requires official documents sent to the special populations counselor at Wilson Community College and accommodations are not automatically transferred if you have some type of accommodations at your high school so for example if you have a 504 plan or some type of other accommodation you still have to be approved for accommodations at our college with written approval these accommodations are not retroactive you have to have approval before the accommodations can be granted by the instructor and the counselor that approves of that we have a location on campus where you can drop these things off and talk and sign this kind of paperwork special populations counselor is located in Student Development which is the F building on campus on the corner of Ward Boulevard and herring Avenue in room 102 telephone number is two four six one to eight one and accommodations have to be renewed every semester so you need to meet and sign paperwork before every semester begins in terms of campus resources remember you are a college student so you have access to the resources on campus and online our library is located on campus in the D building 101 we have a web page here that you can easily click on that provides information at your fingertips such as library searches and all kinds of important resource information student planning is our major resource to check final grades final grades through the college are sent or not are not said you have to go to student planning to check your final grades on that particular tab link you can also find several items that can be of importance to you including an unofficial transcript and other kinds of important information the login for student planning is located on our web page the same place where Moodle and email are located and you use the same username and password once you log into that it'll take a few seconds to pull up and then you can select several tabs in student planning I would recommend going to the timeline tab to view your grades by semester and you can get your grade point average at the college by semester the unofficial transcript at the end is where you can view all of your grades and your cumulative college GPA again if you need help contact our help desk for further assistance we also have proctoring services every now and then an instructor requires proctoring if they require proctoring it would be in your syllabus and in Moodle exactly how to go about doing this so if they require proctoring for a test or a quiz or a final exam you can go to those proctoring services proctoring is a supervised exam by a professional the proctoring is located in the library in D 101 on campus there's an open computer lab there and you can you'll need to set up an appointment ahead of time by going to the College web page under College services tab and then you select proctoring once you're there you can easily log in it'll tell you the place it'll give you times that you can choose from and if you need to set proctoring for a particular time you should do so at least 24 hours in advance you can certainly do so days in advance in order to plan for that this is done on our campus as mentioned before so what if you can't go to campus one service that we have is to contact Wes Hill and he will be able to help you arrange for a proctor in a different location if you are lucky enough to have a teacher or a counselor or some other person say at the public library to do proctoring for you mr. Hill likely can help arrange that with the proctor arrange passwords and the rules regarding proctoring the way to get in touch with mr. Hill through email or through his phone number please do this ahead of time to give us plenty of time to be able to plan for this before there is anything that would affect the due date of your exam or test finally we have technology services on campus not only can you show up on campus you can phone you can email and you can even locate services on our webpage for technology support services also sometimes known as the help desk the location is in our a building 108 on campus the phone number is two four six one two two four and it's imperative that you leave a message with your contact information they check messages constantly and try to get back with you very quickly if they were not able to take your call typically people leave their their cell phone numbers or a way to get in contact with them but what we sometimes find as students do not have their voicemail set up on their cell phones so make sure your voicemail is set up and make sure it is not full you have to delete voicemails frequently so that it does not fill up you can also easily email them if you have questions and again go to our web page that is full of helpful hints and items that can help you with any kind of problem that you may be having again the proctoring lab is located in the library and online tutoring is actually available for many subject areas this is free online tutoring and once you log into Moodle you can click the net tutor link at the top and you can see the subject areas that you can get tutoring for sometimes this can include having somebody to are you for a paper or even a subject area this concludes the information on resource information on campus and so again if you have any questions please contact me my phone number and email address as well as my CCP website can be very important information for you please stay tuned and watch the next video in the que
