Job Description: Wilson Community College is looking for resident assistants for the Summer 2023 TRiO Upward Bound Summer Residential Program at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Under the direction of the Upward Bound Coordinator, assists summer staff with fulfilling the goals and mission of the summer program by providing additional support to students and other UB summer staff.
Qualifications: Knowledge of principles and practices of PC’s, Internet, and e-mail. Knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to execute general office, interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Essential Duties: Participate in summer activities during the program duration. Accompany and supervise students during mealtimes, class times, and cultural and social activities. Clarify, monitor, and enforce rules consistently and report concerns/incidents in a timely manner. Attend Summer Staff general meetings and meet with Upward Bound personnel when necessary. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided to participants. Assist Upward Bound Coordinator in fulfilling duties and tasks throughout the school day. Take primary responsibility for students in his/her group by monitoring academic, personal and social progress and updating other staff as necessary.
Education and Experience: Must be in pursuit of a postsecondary education. Driver’s License is preferred. Prior experience in TRiO (student support services or Upward Bound) strongly preferred.

Job Description: Wilson Community College is looking for resident assistants for the Summer 2023 TRiO Upward Bound Summer Residential Program at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Under the direction of the Upward Bound Coordinator, the Activities coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, and facilitation of the afternoon events and activities for all Summer Residential participants. Activities include, but are not limited too: college tours, guest speakers, health and wellness activities, cultural trips, local activities, venues, and special events, game evenings, etc.

Monitoring expenses against allocated budget. Submitting appropriate payment and reimbursement forms to finance. Communicating updates to students. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required is required for this position. Preferred qualifications include: Master’s degree; Event planning experience; Experience monitoring, teaching, or supervising high school students; Experience working with minors, low-income, and/or first-generation students; and a Demonstrated knowledge of the North Carolina public school system.

Job Description: Wilson Community College is looking for resident assistants for the Summer 2023 TRiO Upward Bound Summer Residential Program at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Under the Direction of the Upward Bound Coordinator, The primary objective of the Residential counselor position is to supervise the residential portion of the program and ensure the well‐being of program participants in grades 10 ‐ 12, with regard to health, safety, morale, discipline, interpersonal relationships, and academics during the residential portion of the Upward Bound Summer Residential Program. Residential counselors are expected to reside and sleep in their assigned housing during the program from Sunday night -Thursday night.
Qualifications: Ability to reside on site at North Carolina State University for six weeks. Demonstrated experience working with high school students from various races and ethnicity, economic backgrounds, religions, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, nations of origins, and other cultural backgrounds.

Education and Experience: Must at least be classified as a junior at a 4-year college or university or have obtained a Bachelor's degree. One year of Student Advising preferred. CPR certification preferred. Driver’s License preferred.

Essential Duties: Provides direct tutoring services for Upward Bound program students. Provides computer assisted supplemental instruction to students in reading and English. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in English or related field required. Teaching license preferred but not required. Experience working with low income youth preferred.

Essential Duties: Provides direct tutoring services for program students. Coordinates the English (reading and writing) tutorial program. Assists the Academic Coaches with the coordination of activities in the Student Support Services academic lab. Provides computer assisted supplemental instruction to students in reading and English. Assists with the monitoring of progress of participants. Serves as a liaison between Student Support Services and faculty. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Associate’s degree in Arts or Science or 60 hours of college credit hours is required. Experience working with disadvantaged population preferred.
