The counseling staff is composed of the Executive Dean of Student Development, Director of Admissions, and Student Development Counselors. Services include admissions counseling, academic counseling, career counseling, and referral services. Counseling is available for all prospective and current students. Students are encouraged to utilize counseling services at any point throughout their enrollment at the College.
Counselors are available to discuss admission requirements and curriculum programs offered at the College. Transfer credits will be evaluated when all official transcripts have been received. The counselor will also assign the student an advisor in his or her selected program of study.
Career and College Transfer Counseling
Counselors are available to help students asses their abilities, skills, interests, values, personalities, and personal goals to make educational and career decisions. A variety of assessment tools and occupational information may be used to assist students.
Counselors are also able to assist students in the college transfer process. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree involves meeting transfer requirements, submitting an application and transcripts, and researching potential programs of study at four-year colleges or universities. Students can also find information in the College Transfer Advising Center or an advisor.
