2026 COMMENCEMENT SPEAKER
Christy Proctor is a dedicated business leader and community advocate with deep roots in eastern North Carolina. Originally from Pikeville, Christy is a proud graduate of East Carolina University, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education.
After nearly two years managing Chick-fil-A restaurants across Ohio and Oklahoma, Christy moved to Wilson in 1994 to lead the Parkwood Mall Chick-fil-A location. She went on to open the Forest Hills location in 2000 and the 95/264 location in 2019, continuing her commitment to excellence in customer service and community impact.
Beyond her business endeavors, Christy has been an active leader in the Wilson community, serving on numerous boards including Imagination Station, The Arc of Wilson, RC3, the Wilson Healthcare Foundation, the Wilson Chamber of Commerce, Wilson Forward, and the Truist Advisory Board. She currently serves as the board chair at First Christian Church of Wilson.
Christy is married and the proud mother of a 24-year-old son. Her leadership, service, and entrepreneurial spirit have made a lasting mark on Wilson and the region.
