Attention rising 6th graders – graduating high school seniors: are you looking to explore options for your future career? Career Exploration camps will give you an in-depth overview of what it is like to work in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Culinary, Fiber Optics, Health Science, or Public Safety.
Agriculture Exploration Camp
June 9 – 12 • 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. • W110 • $125
This weeklong summer camp invites rising 6th through 12th-grade students to explore the many facets of agriculture through fun, hands-on experiences. Each day highlights a different area of agriculture, such as dairy cows, honeybees, flowers, and precision technology. Students will take part in exciting field trips to local farms, a university ag program, a botanical garden, and even watch the process of making ice cream, all while learning how agriculture plays a role in their everyday lives.

Basic Cooking Skills- Exploration Camp

Learn the basics of cooking with Chef Tripp! This will be a fun, interactive, and DELICIOUS camp!

Biotech Career Exploration Camp
June 9-12 • 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. • G227b • $125
Students will learn about bioprocessing techniques, complete hands-on activity labs, and experience what it is like to gown up for pharmaceutical cleanroom settings. They will also explore career opportunities in the Biotechnology field and get a real-world experience of what it would be like to work in a pharmaceutical career.

Fiber Career Exploration Camp
July 15 – 17 • 9 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. • G101 • $65
Students will be exposed to Fiber Optic technology and learn how fiber is used by telecommunication service providers, Greenlight Center, and about different Fiber Optic Careers.

Health Science Exploration Camp
June 2 – 4 • 1:00 p.m. • 3:00 • G124ab • $65
Through interactive, hands-on activities, simulations, and experiments, students will work in teams to learn more about healthcare and foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Students will engage in team-building activities and challenges as they embark on their journey to learn about the world of allied health professionals. This camp will offer the unique opportunity for students to explore various roles in healthcare careers, gain practical skills, and learn more about making a difference in the lives of others. Students will need to wear comfortable attire and closed-toe shoes.

Public Safety Exploration Camp

Come learn the basics of public safety! You’ll get to interact and learn about careers in fire, EMS, and law enforcement. This will be a hands-on camp!
