College Transfer

Are you thinking of completing a two-year college transfer degree and then transferring to a four-year college or university to earn your bachelor’s degree? Wilson Community College offers five college transfer degree programs:

The Associate in Arts (AA) and Associate in Science (AS) degrees are designed for students to complete approximately two of years of a four-year bachelor’s degree, preparing them to transfer to a four-year college or university with junior status. Students can choose to enroll in the two-year AA or AS program or take advantage of the fast track and complete either degree in just one year.

The Associate in Arts Teacher Preparation (AATP) and Associate in Science Teacher Preparation (ASTP) degrees provide students the opportunity to complete their first two years of a bachelor’s degree in education at the community college and transfer to the four-year institution to complete the last two years of their bachelor’s degree.

The Associate in Fine Arts (AFA) in Music degree is designed for students who wish to complete the first two years of their bachelor’s degree in music at the community college and transfer to a four-year school to complete the last two years of a bachelor’s degree.

Note: Completion of an AA, AS, AFA in Music, AATP, or ASTP degree does not guarantee admission to a four-year college or university or to specific programs.
