The LPN to RN transition program has been designed for Licensed Practical Nurses seeking to enter the Associate Degree Nursing program with advanced standing. Applicants must meet the admissions requirements outlined in the LPN -RN Packet below to be considered for admission to the Transition Program by the application deadline.
The application for the Transition Program opens July 1st every year and closes on October 15th.
Students admitted will take a hybrid transition course starting in March. The course will end in May and students will merge with the cohort available.
- The Day Transition Program is available in odd years.
- The Day or Evening Program is available even years.

Upon successful completion of this program, the student should be able to:
- Implement caring interventions incorporating documented best practices for individuals in diverse settings.
- Practice professional nursing behaviors incorporating personal responsibility and accountability for continued competence.
- Incorporate informatics to formulate evidence-based clinical judgments and management decisions.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with individuals, significant support person(s), and members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
- Manage health care for the individual using cost-effective nursing strategies, quality improvement processes, and current technology.
