Tactical Medic

This course prepares students to provide emergency services in austere environments, whether you are a law enforcement officer, firefighter, or EMT, and will require special judgment and skills not otherwise taught in the standard curricula. This introductory course will fill that gap in training which has become more apparent as violence against the public and public safety personnel alike continues to rise from sources such as gang activity and domestic terrorism. In this course we will teach and reemphasize key components of tactical medicine to include but not limited to: 

  • Team organization  
  • Threat Assessments 
  • Escape/Evasion and Cover/Concealment 
  • Trauma Management 
  • Tactical Operations 
  • Casualty Care and Patient Extraction/Movement 
  • Firearms and Weapons Familiarization 
  • K-9 Emergencies 
  • Dynamic Scene Management 

FEES:

  • Registration: $125.00 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a member of an EMS, Fire, or Law Enforcement Agency
