Build essential food safety knowledge with ServSafe Food Handler and ServSafe Food Manager training. Courses cover safe food handling, sanitation, foodborne illness prevention, and other practices that support a safe and compliant food service environment.

Food Handler

The course is designed to give the food handler an understanding of proper sanitation precautions and point out the results to be expected should these precautions not be taken. The course will deal with the study of infection and illness, proper food handling techniques, personal hygiene, and personal safety. Students will be made aware of the regulations of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.

REQUIREMENTS:

This course provides comprehensive training in food safety principles, sanitation practices, and regulatory requirements essential for employment in restaurants, cafeterias, and other commercial food service settings. Topics include safe food handling, prevention of foodborne illness, personal hygiene, cleaning and sanitizing procedures, temperature control, and food safety management systems. The course concludes with participants taking the SERV Safe® Manager Certification Exam, a nationally recognized credential that demonstrates knowledge of key food safety practices required in commercial kitchens and food service operations.
