This course is designed to instruct the layperson or professional responder in the basics of First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), with a focus on cardiac, breathing, and other life-threatening medical emergencies as well as awareness the hazards of blood borne pathogens. Upon successful completion, the student may qualify to receive certification through a certifying agency.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION:
The Healthcare Farmworker CPR Grant scholarship is generally available for this course section. If you choose to use the scholarship, which will allow you to register for this course at no cost, simply select “Apply Scholarship” when you View and Register for Courses.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preregistration is required 7 days prior to class.
- Must have a 2020 AHA Healthcare Provider CPR book at the start of class, available at the WCC Bookstore.
