Virtual Transfer Fair
Attention prospective transfer students – The UNC System Virtual Transfer Fair event includes transfer presentations & individual university breakout sessions to prepare students for streamlined transfer experiences to UNC System institutions!
Spring 2026 Transfer Fair Dates:
Tuesday, February 3rd – Thursday, February 5th
3:00pm-4:30pm
Transfer applications open August 1 for the Spring, Summer and Fall terms. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for all terms starting in September. Students are encouraged to submit their application prior to the application deadline dates listed below and should complete by the priority application dates if they plan to pursue scholarships (Fall/Summer applicants) and to allow adequate time to find and secure housing (all terms).
The 2025 admissions application is open! Begin applying for the Spring, Summer, or Fall 2025 semesters.

Prospective transfer students will have the opportunity to meet with their future academic department, hear from current students, and receive specific transfer information.

Transfer Campus Tours
Join fellow transfer students for an hour and a half walking tour around the ECU campus. Student tour guides will show you around the campus and share what it’s like to be a Pirate. Social distancing and masks will be required inside buildings, and other safety measures will be in place.

Partnership Teach is East Carolina University’s online degree completion model for education majors who wish to begin at an NC community college and transfer to ECU to complete one of the three teaching degrees:

ECU Pirate Promise
Information sessions are available for students enrolled in the Pirate Promise program. The Pirate Promise program is a guaranteed admission program for students who are in their first year of coursework at WCC to attend special events, benefit from advising assistance, and receive support before applying to ECU.
Elizabeth City State University invites you to attend its Blue and Bold Tour, a mini open house designed to connect directly with prospective transfer students.
Purpose: Provide prospective transfer students with valuable information about academic programs, transfer pathways, admissions, financial aid, and student support services. They are even giving away scholarships at the event!

WCC and FSU have established a new partnership, offering transfer students guaranteed admission to FSU where they can take advantage of a waived application fee, reduced tuition rate for in-state students, and low-cost rental alternatives for student books.
Upon completion of 30 semester hours at WCC, students enrolled in the Associate in Arts, Associate in Arts in Teacher Preparation, Associate in Science, Associate in Science in Teacher Preparation, and Associate in Fine Arts in Music and have maintained a GPA of 2.0 or higher may complete a letter of intent for the Bronco Benefit. The Office for Adult Learners, Transfer, and Military (ALTM) students at FSU will be hosting “Bronco Bound” virtual transfer events highlighting popular transfer majors. Students will have the opportunity to meet their FSU advisor, get connected with the ALTM Office, and gain some insight into the transfer process at FSU. The registration links can be found below:

Muhlenberg College now accepts all students who complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree from any regionally accredited institution as having met their general education requirements. Qualified transfer students can enter Muhlenberg’s accelerated bachelor’s degree programs and finish in 22 months. Students would only need to complete 16 courses to complete their bachelor’s degree and there is not an “out of state” tuition. The program is 100% online, synchronous, and instructor led. Transfer Students:
Students can still apply for Fall 2026 enrollment through the NC State transfer application or the Common Application. Applications must be received by February 15, 2026.
Guaranteed Admission Programs:
Wolfpack Connect eligibility form will open on January 30 for students interested in a Fall 2026 start in the program. Forms are due June 1. For more information about the Wolfpack Connect program eligibility requirements, visit: WCC Guaranteed Admission Partnerships or NC State Wolfpack Connect.
Current C3 students who plan to transfer to NC State in Summer/Fall 2026 should submit their C3 Intent to Transfer form by February 1. Comprehensive student development program designed to develop scholars into leaders within the STEM and/or education fields. The NC State Goodnight Scholars Program is expanding to include a cohort of 50 transfer students from community colleges throughout North Carolina. The Goodnight Transfer Scholars Program is designed to offer a full-tuition scholarship, valued at $22,000 per year to underrepresented students. To be considered to receive an invitation to apply as a transfer student, a student must:
- Submit the general NC State application by February 15.
- Indicate a family income of less than $120,000 on the general NC State application.
- Select a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or STEM education major at NC State (eligible majors ).
- Enroll as a full-time student at NC State.
- Be a North Carolina resident. Refugee, DACA, and undocumented students who are living in North Carolina and will graduate from a North Carolina community college are also eligible for this scholarship.
- Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by March 1.
- Obtain an associate degree (A.A., A.S., or A.E.) from a North Carolina community college under the Comprehensive Articulation Agreement .
- Demonstrate a history of outstanding academic performance.

Refunds will not be offered to students who have already paid the application fee.)

Transfer students are encouraged to apply before the priority deadline to ensure that your application is reviewed by the desired term. Priority deadlines for each term are listed below.
Spring
Transfer students can apply to enter UNC-W in the spring semester. Entry in the spring term is not more competitive, but space is limited so students are encouraged to apply early and adhere to the following deadlines:

Application fee waivers are offered for students with demonstrated financial need, active-duty military service, or Phi Theta Kappa membership.
Students are encouraged to apply early when possible. Transfer applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so students can expect to receive their decision 3-4 weeks after their application is completed.
