Examination proctoring for online or hybrid courses is available in the Wilson Community College Library Proctoring Center in D100. Proctoring sessions must be arranged 24 hours in advance. Students must provide a valid form of ID to be allowed entry.

Proctoring Procedures

The following outlines the procedures for requesting, scheduling, and the administration of proctored exams.

Faculty Process

  • To request a proctored exam for a course, instructors should complete the Faculty Proctored Exam Request form on the Intranet under Faculty/Adjuncts.

Student Process

  • To schedule a proctoring appointment, WCC students and students from other community colleges should click the “Book Now” button.
  • Student’s making a proctoring reservation through the UNC Proctoring Network and through NCSU/DELTA Testing must also click the “Book Now” button to reserve a seat at WCC on the testing calendar.
  • Students that wish to test at another verified proctoring location should contact Wes Hill to make those arrangements.

General Guidelines

  • Proctoring reservations must be made by the student at least 24 hours in advance.
  • Proctored exams must be scheduled to start at a time that will allow the exam to be completed prior to the closing time of the Proctoring Center.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to come in during the proper exam window set by the instructor. Students will not receive additional time for late arrival.
  • Proctored exams for Wilson Community College students and/or students at other higher education institutions will be administered in the Library Proctoring Center located in D100 or in another designated lab during peak times.
  • Wilson Community College students must present a Wilson CC Student ID prior to receiving access to an exam.
  • Students from other institutions and CCP students must present a valid ID prior to receiving access to an exam.
  • All cell phones, electronic devices, and personal items not approved for the exam, must be left in the student’s vehicle.
  • If any issues or problems occur during an exam, the proctor will contact the instructor/professor immediately, providing that contact information has been provided.
  • If the proctor observes cheating, plagiarism, or any violation of test integrity, they will note the violation and contact the instructor/professor immediately, providing that contact information has been provided.
  • The Proctoring Center is not liable for any disputes related to proctored exams. Any disputes shall be resolved between student and instructor.
  • Students taking proctored exams are expected to abide by Wilson Community College’s Student Code of Conduct.

Fall and Spring
Monday – Thursday:  8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Summer
Monday – Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Friday: Closed
