This course will prepare students to use Spanish in their workplace. Activities will include:
- Interactive speaking and role-plays with job-specific scenarios
- Hands-on tasks adapted to student industries
- Group practice with workplace-relevant situations
- Direct feedback on industry-specific vocabulary
- New concepts with customized examples
- Building confidence for real job situations
Students will:
- Introduce themselves professionally in Spanish
- Ask/Answer questions specific to their job duties
- Give instructions relevant to their workplace
- Use 200-300 vocabulary words including job-specific terms
- Handle transactions common in their industry
- Show cultural awareness in professional settings
- Apply Spanish immediately in their actual workplace
- Learn independently with customized online practice
FEES:
- Registration: $90.00
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 hours of face-to-face instruction per week and approximately 2 hours of online work per week through Moodle.
- Class will meet face-to-face on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm on campus.
